Below is a collection of the 168 grain premium and .308 match ammo choices from most of the big names. I chose the 168 grain match loads as that is the most common match bullet weight, with the Federal Gold Medal Match being the standard by which all others are judged. It is my expectation that the Federal GMM will be the most accurate load on this page but at nearly $2 per round delivered its a little costly. My goal is to see if any of these other less costly168 grain offerings can come close or even surpass the federal gold medal match standard. It would be an added benefit if one of the least costly rounds even came close to the federals anticipated performance which would allow me to standardize on one .308 load rather then have one for the LR-308 and another for the L1A1 and CETME.
