R25: camo DIY...
« on: June 29, 2011, 01:06:01 PM »

bought myself a Rem. R25 .308 which is painted in the "Mossy Oak Tree-stand" anyway i bought some Magpul Pmags and a ERGO grip...the grip is "Dark Earth" which i thought would be a better match than the "OD" but its not..and i dont like the look of the "plastic" mags....

so i decided to paint them hoping they would look better camo...trying to match the "Mossy Oak Tree-stand"...

..cell phone pics.. ::)

Pmags started "Black"
grip was "Dark Earth"

ill get some better pics with a real camera....and with the rifle..

Nice job so far.
I would add a little more
brown paint to the tree trunks on the PMags.
Otherwise, nice!

I love R25's. As much as i love them, I couldn't get myself to buy the camo rifle. Still kick myself when I see them. The Rem/JP R25 is sexy as hell.

Your paint looks great too. No need to make it match the rifle 100%. You did a perfect job breaking the solid patern.

I like the grip.  I find the a2 grip to shallow. My R25 is fantastically accurate but the trigger has the longest creep in the safe. I deer hunt with mine and wrap the entire forearm with soft camo tape because it rings like a bell at the slightest touch or tap.

Good job on the camo job. How about a color list?
