rings and bases

Just gotbconfirmed that my new lr308 is in. I am a warne ring and base fan however this my first tactical.type.rifle and would like advice as to what works best. I kno the warne stuff is heavy. I would also like to explore.the.option of quick release so i can use a longer range scope or. ..Pop an eotech on and off it as needed. Thanks all drop

drop, not meaning to push you into that section, but there is recent info in there.

Fire off some details on the gun, and what you'll be going after with it - that info helps for this kinda stuff.  Personally, no matter what I'd be doing with it, if it were mine, I's be running a one-piece scope mount.  Several QD manufacturers available, with Larue, ADM (forgot to mention them last time this came up), and Bobro.  Armalite is always a runner in the contest, but they don't offer QD levers, instead using milspec-type thumbscrews.  Still comes off easy.

I've got one of their one inch mounts. Heavy, but VERY tough.

While I prefer one-piece mounts (It makes switching optics easier, IMO), Badger Ordnance makes a set of QD rings that are pretty sturdy.

Well here we go...went with the Leupold IMS 1" mount it has 20 moa built in it. They say it can be used like a quick release mount. We'll find out. Is a good looking mount though. Drop
