The Ruger SR-762™ is a lightweight, quick-handling carbine that is an ideal rifle for those who appreciate the familiar and ergonomic AR-style platform. The .308 Win./7.62 NATO cartridge is perfect for hunting medium and most large-sized game and enhances the capability of the AR-style platform in defensive or tactical roles. The Ruger SR-762 Semiautomatic Rifles patented chrome-plated, two-stage piston with multistage regulator provides a cleaner, cooler-running, reliable firearm with superior operating endurance. Two-stage piston provides a smooth power delivery stroke to the bolt carrier. The round, smooth-sided ergonomic Ruger Lightweight Adaptable handguard with flattop receiver features a Mil-Spec 1913 Picatinny rail at the 12:00 position that extends the full length of the handguard.
Drilled and tapped for additional rails at the 3:00, 6:00 and 9:00 positions, offering ample space for mounting sights, lasers, lights and other accessories. Two additional rail sections included. Folding backup iron sights include a windage adjustable rear sight and an elevation-adjustable front sight. These sights provide a solid aiming system that can be folded out of the way to make room for optics, yet instantly redeployed when duty calls. For accuracy and longevity, the cold-hammer-forged Mil-Spec 41V45 chrome-moly-vanadium steel barrel has been precision-rifled and chrome-lined.
Barrel is fluted for reduced weight and improved barrel-cooling and features an SR-556®/Mini-14®-style flash suppressor mounted with a 5/8″-24 thread. Chrome-plated bolt and one-piece bolt carrier with oversized and radiused-rear bearing surface. Six-position telescoping M4-style buttstock is mounted on a Mil-Spec diameter tube. Hogue® Monogrip® pistol grip. Includes three 20-round magazines, soft-sided gun case and three finger-grooved rail covers. Made in USA.

$2,269.00 is a ridiculous price point. I’ll wait and see if Ruger comes to their senses on that. There are no cost drivers in the rifle that justify the incredible price hike over the SR-556. Really Ruger, that is placing victory in the jaws of defeat.
Adjustable butt, 3 mags, soft case, hogue grip, accessories space, AND 7.62 X 51 seems like a fair MSRP. But, no one has it in stock.
I got mine several years ago. It operates as advertised. It is reliable. I like having an AR10 type rifle in these unstable times.
I have one available that has had about 17 rounds fired.

I have one, just one mag through it. Has a very nice Leupold 2-12x42mm red dot on it-willing to sell with rifle. Rifle is a tank, pristine, even has a fore-grip bipod. Make a real offer.
