Out of Business 308 Rifle Manufacturers

One of the lesser realized purposes this website 308 AR to exist is to serve as a historic archive for AR-10, AR .308, and 308 AR manufacturers who are no longer in business. There are many reasons gun manufacturers go out of business.

  • Bushmaster – XM-10 Rifle. Bushmaster is back in business but as of November 1, 2021. At this point, they are not offering a .308 AR.
  • DPMS – LR-308, GII (G2) –  Recently it was reported that JJE Capital, which owns Palmetto State Armory, purchased the DPMS, Storm Lake barrels, AAC suppressors, and H&R brands at Remington’s bankruptcy auction for $1.9 million. This tracks as the current holder of the DPMS/Panther Arms trademark are listed as JJE.
  • JD Machine Tech (Out of Business)
  • Kaiser Military Technologies (Out of Business)
  • Olympic Arms – Back in business but not producing a .308 AR
