FOSTECH ECHO AR-II TRIGGER

Based on a Hiperfire trigger the Echo Trigger has a unique feature that allows an AR to fire when the trigger is pulled and also when released. This translate into much more expensive trips to the gun range. My two initial observations are the trigger is quite expensive and also looks to be pretty complex. At this time I cannot confirm how this trigger functions in a 308 AR or AR-10.  If anyone has any experience with the echo trigger drop us a line. The Fostech Echo AR-II Trigger is in stock and available from Brownells.

The Echo AR-II Trigger allows the shooter to select from 3 different settings.

Safe Mode: Firearm will not fire.
Semi-Automatic Mode: Firearm fires when trigger is pulled.
Echo Mode: Firearm fires when trigger is pulled and also when trigger is released.

The Echo AR-II Trigger is designed with safety being the utmost priority. When the shooter is in the Echo Mode and depresses the trigger one round is fired, if the target moves, the shooter can move the selector to the safe position and a second round will not fire upon release.

The ECHO AR-II TRIGGER has SEVERAL DISTINCT FEATURES

  • PATENTED Design that gained ATF Approval (Patent # US 8,820,211 B1)
  • Technology licensed through HIPERFIRE inside the Echo Trigger
  • Light, clean, and crisp pull in Semi-Automatic Mode
  • The Echo AR-II Trigger is packed full of cutting edge technology
  • Reliable function in Echo Mode .

The Echo AR-II Trigger is for many of the AR-15 platforms but not all.   The Echo AR-II Trigger NO LONGER comes with a stripped carrier with gas key. Customers made it very clear that they did not want to deal with a proprietary carrier.  FosTecH’s team of engineers developed the Echo AR-II so that it did not need that proprietary carrier.  If you have any questions about the Echo-AR-II trigger please go to  www.echoquestions.com  You can also call our office if you would like to talk to someone in person at 812-445-4028

GEISSELE 308 HI-SPEED NATIONAL MATCH TRIGGER SET

Hi-Speed National Match Triggers
Geissele Automatics currently offers three large pin Hi-Speed trigger products.  These adjustable triggers are specially designed for competition, hunting, tactical, and military use, where both accuracy and robustness are critical. As an adjustable trigger, the first and second stage weight distribution, as well as, total pull weight, over-travel, and sear engagement are all to be tuned to the shooters preference.

The Geissele Service Spring Set
The Geissele Hi-Speed Service is designed for NRA High Power Service Rifle competition. It is an approved trigger for use in CMP sanctioned competitions such as: National Trophy, NTIT and all Excellence In Competition matches. Service Rifle competitions require military-based weapons to meet certain criteria, one of which is a minimum trigger pull weight of 4.5 lbs. Our Service Rifle Trigger includes our exclusive 5-Coil trigger spring which will give a nominal 4 lbs. on first stage. The Service trigger pull weights are biased with most of the pull weight on the first stage. This will allow a light second stage with an icicle-sharp break, effectively giving your weapon a match-grade trigger let-off.

The Geissele DMR  Spring Set
The Geissele Hi-Speed Designated Marksman Rifle is designed for tactical and military shooting where trigger pull weight is not regulated. Perfect for all precision tactical shooting and squad Designated Marksmen, the higher second stage weight helps in high-stress shooting situations.

The Geissele Match Spring Set
The Geissele Hi-Speed Match is designed for NRA High Power Rifle competition with highly modified AR-15 Space guns. AR-15 Space guns are the Formula 1 weapons of High Power Rifle competition. With very few restrictions, these highly customized semi-automatic weapons are intended to produce extreme accuracy at long range. The Geissele Match Trigger is a perfect Space gun add-on as the pull weight can be adjusted to low levels that enhance trigger control. The fast lock time assists the shooter in getting every ounce of accuracy out of his weapon. The Hi-Speed hammer uses a full-power hammer spring which imparts more kinetic energy into the firing pin, producing much more consistent primer ignition – especially with experimental cartridges or AR 308, 308 AR and AR-10 based weapons.

Geissele SSA Trigger | Geissele Trigger SSA | SSA-E

Geissele SSA Trigger

Geissele SSA Trigger, SSA-E Trigger

The Geissele SSA trigger is a semi-automatic only version of Geissele Automatics’s Super Select-Fire trigger. The Geissele  SSA is a 4.5lb. non-adjustable combat trigger that is a precision two-stage trigger and allows precise and accurate trigger control. The SSA’s two-stage design allows the trigger to be light enough for accurate and precise shots, but forgiving enough for CQB. The SSA is safety certified by Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center. It is recommended for demanding applications such as Law Enforcement use, Close Quarters Battle (CQB) and mid-range carbine work.

Size: Standard Mil-Spec Pin, Trigger Bow Type M4 Curved, Weapon Platform AR15, AR-10, 308 AR

You might also like ATC SR Gold Trigger

Geissele SSA 2-stage combat trigger has a fixed 4½ lb. total pull weight, non-adjustable sear engagement, and additional safety features ideal for CQB and mid-range carbine work. A secondary “safety sear” captures the hammer if the primary sear accidentally releases due to hard impact, ensuring the rifle can fire only when the shooter actually pulls the trigger.

Trigger pull is optimized for both deliberate, aimed fire and quick, “snap shooting.” The first stage builds gradually to 2½ lbs., with a 2 lb. second stage that breaks clean, so the shooter can stay on target throughout the pull. A lightweight hammer driven by a full-power hammer spring speeds lock time and delivers positive ignition of all ammo types. All contact surfaces are wire EDM cut to exact dimensions for precise engagement free of play.

Direct replacement for factory trigger; may be installed without removing the safety. Operation and parts layout is similar to the USGI M16 trigger for easy maintenance. All springs are captive to simplify field disassembly for cleaning. Hammer and trigger pins are a close slip-fit in nominal .154″ (small pin) mil-spec receiver holes to enable installation with basic tools.

Geissele SSA-E Trigger

Geissele SSA-E Trigger offers an even lighter, 3½ lb. total pull weight, making it an excellent choice for precision Squad Designated Marksman type rifles where both accuracy and reliability are critical. First stage builds gradually to 2.3 lbs., followed by a 1.2 lb. second stage with a crisp, “candy cane-like” break. A semi-auto-only version of the Geissele full-auto combat trigger presently used in the U.S. Special Operations community.

SPECS: Steel, black finish. Fits semi-automatic AR-15/M16 receivers with .154″ diameter hammer and trigger pin holes. May be installed in AR-style .308 rifles that accept AR-15 triggers. Kit includes trigger and hammer assemblies, springs, hammer pin, tube of grease, and illustrated instructions.

Geissele Super Semi-Automatic (SSA) Trigger

GEISSELE SUPER SEMI-AUTOMATIC (SSA®) TRIGGER

The Geissele Super Semi-Automatic (SSA) Trigger is the semi-auto only version of a select fire trigger that Geissele makes for customers in the U.S. Special Operations community. The SSA is a non-adjustable combat trigger, it is not a match trigger. The second stage break is like a carrot rather than an icicle. Suitable for Close Quarters Battle (CQB) and mid-range carbine work, the Geissele SSA is also the perfect trigger for Squad Designated Marksman (SDM) rifles. A short summary of the Geissele SSA features and advantages follows.

Download – Geissele Super-Semi-Automatic SSA Trigger Sales Flyer

Performance Advantages for the Shooter

  • The Geissele SSA Trigger has a pull weight of about 4.5lb. 2.5 lbs on the first stage and 2lb on the second stage. The pull weights and sear engagement are non adjustable by the shooter.
  • Geissele Trigger and hammer are made from quality tool steel
  • Sear surfaces are cut by a wire edm machine. Sears cut this way are very accurate and the non-directional surface finish of the wire edm gives a smooth trigger pull without the associated grittiness of directional machining marks left by a milling cutter.
  • The initial force needed to start the disengagement of the sear surfaces is low and the force linearly increases at a low rate. This helps the shot to fall at the initial point of aim and aids in building shooter confidence in his weapons ability to put the rounds where his sight is pointing.
  • The Geissele SSA trigger allows the shooter to slap through the trigger pull on close in shots but also set up a long range shot with a crisp trigger break.
  • A full force hammer spring is used for quick lock time and positive ignition of all types of ammo. There is no lightened hammer spring used.
  • The hammer is lighter than a standard AR15 hammer. The lightened hammer favorably decreases lock time and increases accuracy of the weapon, especially for snap shots.

Advantages for the Armorer

  • The Geissele SSA is a simple design that is very similar to the original M16 trigger. The number of parts is identical.
  • There are no adjustment screws to come loose. All springs are captive; they will not get lost during disassembly in the field
  • The entire trigger can be dissembled for cleaning (no rivets or staked parts)
  • The trigger can be installed without removing the safety
  • Sear engagement is pre-set from the factory
  • Hammer and trigger pins are a close slip fit into nominal receiver holes so the trigger can be installed and removed with
    rudimentary tools.
  • Triggers come with a slave pin for the trigger/disconnector assembly for easy installation.

Safety Advantages

  • The Geissele SSA is a 2 stage trigger where there is generous overlap of the sear surfaces which contributes to safety and a low tendency of any inadvertent movement of the trigger to discharge the weapon.
  • The Geissele SSA has a patented pseudo sear that is almost identical to the standard AR15 single stage sear. However, this secondary sear has surfaces that never touch during normal operation. This sear prevents the hammer from falling unless the trigger is pulled.
  • The secondary safety sear contributes to shooter confidence in dynamic/vehicle situations where a fellow shooter’s muzzle may cover him. There is firm knowledge that even with the safety in the fire position the weapon can never discharge unless the trigger is pulled.
  • Trigger timing is robust and parts have been sized to operate with a certain amount of wear to the working surfaces. The trigger is designed to operate in dusty, abrasive environments that cause wear.

*Triggers for Colt large pin rifles are available., *The Geissele SSA does not fit HK416 weapons with firing pin safety

GEISSELE SSA TRIGGER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

GEISSELE SUPER SEMI-AUTOMATIC (SSA®) TRIGGER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

READ THIS FIRST – Firearm safety is YOUR responsibility. You must memorize and put into practice the 4 Rules of Firearm Safety:

  1. ASSUME EVERY WEAPON IS LOADED.
  2. KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT.
  3. DO NOT LET THE MUZZLE POINT AT ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY.
  4. KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND.

GEISSELE SSA TRIGGER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Unload rifle and make safe.
  2. Remove existing trigger and clean receiver. It is not necessary to remove the safety.
  3. Remove the trigger pin from the trigger and replace with the slave pin to hold the disconnector in place.
  4. Install trigger and slave pin into rifle. Align slave pin with receiver pin holes. Insert trigger pin into receiver, through trigger/disconnector, and into receiver on opposite side.
  5. Remove hammer pin from hammer. Place a drop of lubricant in the bore of the hammer pivot.
  6. Install hammer into receiver with hammer spring legs on top of the trigger pin. Insert hammer pin into receiver, through hammer, and into receiver on opposite side.
  7. Apply a small amount of lubricant in the following locations: a. Each side of the disconnector above the trigger pin b. Hammer and trigger sears c. Face of the disconnector d. Hammer tail where it contacts the disconnector; e. Top of each side of the hammer spring where the spring contacts the receiver wall.
  8. Check safety operation: With the hammer cocked and the safety selector set to the SAFE position, pull the trigger hard. The hammer should not fall.
  9. Check trigger reset: Set safety selector to FIRE. Dry fire weapon and keep trigger held back. Pull charging handle all the way  back and release, letting the bolt carrier snap forward. The hammer should not fall. Release trigger. Hammer should be caught by the trigger.
  10. Check for the presence of a second stage: Set the safety selector to FIRE. Pull the trigger through the first stage until it comes to a distinct stop—this is the second stage. Applying additional pressure to the trigger will allow the weapon to discharge. Maintenance of the SSA trigger consists of occasionally placing a drop of lubricant on the locations shown in #7 above. Recommended lubrcant is CLP or equivalent; alternatively a high quality grease may be used on the trigger/hammer sears and disconnector contact surfaces. When the trigger and lower receiver well become very dirty (such as when firing with a suppressor), it is not always necessary to remove the trigger group for cleaning. Spray down the trigger group with electrical contact cleaner to remove residual oil and dirt. Next, use compressed air to blow off the trigger group and then flush liberally with a light lubricant as CLP or equivalent. Blow off excess lubricant with compressed air and lubricate as noted above. The Geissele Super Semi-Automatic trigger is a 4.5 lb. non-adjustable precision combat trigger and allows precise and accurate trigger control. The SSA’s two-staged design allows the trigger to be light enough for accurate and precise shots, but heavy and forgiving enough to be safe. The SSA is safety certified by Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center. It is recommended for demanding applications such as Law Enforcement use, Close Quarters Battle (CQB) and mid-range carbine work. The SSA Trigger will lighten the trigger pull relative to a standard trigger. This lightened trigger pull will make the firearm easier to discharge. You must recognize and accept this fact before installing this trigger. If you do not want a lighter than standard trigger pull or are not willing to accept responsibility for the safety of your firearm, yourself, and those around you, do not install this trigger. Geissele Automatics recommends installation by a certified gunsmith only.

Hiperfire Hipertouch Eclipse Trigger

When it comes to advertising/sponsors relationships at 308AR.com and our family of sites and communities it’s no secret we are very selective with advertisers. Today we are excited to add Hiperfire to the list. Hiperfire offers AR15, 308AR and AR-10 triggers for most budgets $89-$275 and shooting disciplines. I had been planning to purchase a Hiperfire Hipertouch 24C but now Im feeling obligated to get the Hiperfire Hipertouch Eclipse Trigger ECL listed lower in the post.

The HIPERTOUCH® ECL4 is HIPERFIRE’s top-of-the-line trigger for AR-15® and AR-10® type rifles. The HIPERTOUCH® name is short for HIgh PERformance TOUCH, 24 for user adjustable trigger weights. The ECL was developed as part of a 3-gun promotion. But, one must realize that this and the other triggers aren’t just for 3-gun. It now sports a new evocative name since its performance eclipses that of even HIPERFIRE’s 24C. It installs and functions just like all the HIPERTOUCH® 24s. For installation and operational features of the HIPERTOUCH® family of AR fire-controls, go to the HIPERTOUCH® 24 page and watch the videos. View this graphic,Hiperfire AR-10 AR-15 Lower Cavity Dimensions. HIPERTOUCH® FCGs may not work in lowers with pivot holes that are outside the MIL-Spec dimensions shown in RED.

HIPERTOUCH® FCGs have uniquely solved two problems with stock AR triggers and AR trigger upgrades respectively: 1) High Trigger Weight, and 2) Low Hammer Fall Energy.

Trigger Weight: The real culprit behind high trigger pull weight is high sear impingement force that produces high friction. To get around that, the stock “AR” trigger and hammer mechanical advantage was changed and the toggle spring feature added to reduce the impingement force on the trigger sear. Designers of two-stage products changed the functional location of the primary sear; HIPERFIRE®’s design has not, retaining the stock design’s single-stage simplicity. This is important for when stock triggers are pulled, the hammer cam-action signals hammer fall is imminent. When 2-stage triggers are pulled, the final higher weight stage also signals hammer fall. This can lead to the flinching problem we all know about. Some like to say the better 2-stage triggers have glass rod or candy-cane like breaks to sell the idea that they don’t signal hammer fall. In any case, the HIPERTOUCH® ECL does not signal hammer fall because the trigger weight is constant over the entire stroke.

Hammer Fall Energy: HIPERTOUCH® features the unique toggle spring functionality that reduces trigger weight, but while doing so, it also increases hammer fall energy by over 35% over the MIL-spec stock design and every trigger upgrade in the market. This permits the shooter to ignite hard MIL and foreign primers as well as hard to ignite 22 rimfire ammunition.

HIPERTOUCH® FCGs retain Eugene Stoner’s design of simple elegance while remaining very robust, without the gritty feel. Shooting for high accuracy is no longer an almost impossible chore. It’s no longer necessary to improve the stock performance by manually polishing the high-friction trigger and hammer sear surfaces, where the end result was only marginally better anyway.

Ambitious sportsmen and marksmen have been turning to trigger upgrades with varying degrees of satisfaction. The better replacements have been one and two-stage triggers with fixed final weights ranging from between 2½ and 4½ pounds with what some have called a glass rod or candy cane trigger break. Some of these devices require factory or user calibration, maintenance, and/or replacement for wear or doubling. Some of these devices also employ reduced power springs, which have compromised reliable ignition for a “dream” trigger weight.

The HIPERFIRE® “AR” accessory response to those shooter’s looking for a single-stage and very much improved, match quality, “AR” trigger upgrade that delivers high performance is the HIPERTOUCH® ECL. It nests in unmodified standard AR-15® and AR-10® type lower receivers in the same way as stock “AR” triggers and hammers without having to remove the safety selector. It is comprised of three subassemblies: the trigger, hammer, and toggle, spring groups. All the parts are made from carbon steel alloys that have been hardened for wear and strength. It features exceptionally low trigger weights with smooth pre-travel, a very clean hammer release with no report to break, match action response, and faster hammer lock-up. Only now with HIPERTOUCH® trigger and hammer actions does “AR” trigger “squeeze” have real meaning.

Additionally, the HIPERTOUCH® ECL also sports the HIPERSHOE® adjustable finger pad as first introduced with the 24C, which can be positioned at five (5) different vertical detent locations along the straight trigger’s bow. By changing location, the shooter can further adjust pre-travel and weight within the broader spring range settings than without it as desired for even more trigger responsiveness. Also, the adjustable pad lengthens slightly the extension of the finger to the pad with respect to the pistol grip, which alters the feel and dexterity of the finger on the trigger for added comfort and/or control. The trigger can be installed and operated with and without the shoe.
