Upper & Lower Receivers
F&D Receivers are manufactured to the most specific set of tolerances in the defense industry; F&D utilizes tolerance stack-up engineering software and advanced inspection systems. F&D maintains pride in stating that it unequivocally manufactures the finest auto-loading rifle components in the world.
Material
F&D’s custom-supplied, hand-forged 7075-T652 is the highest strength aluminum alloy available; up to 20% increased tensile strength from non-forged 7075-T6. Receivers are match pinned for a perfect fit, not too tight or too loose.

Assembly
F&D’s rail system eliminates the barrel nut, allowing simplified and consistent barrel removal and reinstallation, while providing an extremely rigid connection to the upper receiver. F&D’s exclusive bolt-on interface maintains much higher rigidity than barrel-nut designs, and consolidates the absolute lowest and most compact rail-height available compared to any piston or direct impingement rifle system. This proprietary interface exerts 8200 lbs of axial force against the upper receiver, compared to 6700 lbs with standard barrel nuts utilized on most other AR-10 style rifles. Radial-clamping “quick-change” barrel systems exert little to no axial force against the upper receiver and reduces accuracy consistency. Axial barrel retaining force is one of the most significant structural contributors to accuracy and consistency on AR platform rifles.

Armalite AR-10 A-Series SuperSASS Carbine A10SCBF – The AR-10A family of Armalite rifles is functionally identical to our AR-10B family. Operation, controls, and maintenance are the same however, the AR-10A family is designed to accept early Armalite AR-10 “Waffle” magazines and other magazines copied from them. The AR-10B family still accepts our proprietary steel magazines. Neither family of rifles will function correctly with the other alternate magazine. Translation. This Armalite AR-10 can use 308 PMAGS.
Like its rifle-length brother, the AR-10A SuperSASS Carbine accepts third party polymer magazines. It is a lighter weight, versatile and supremely accurate firearm perfect in law enforcement and military support roles. Used in its suppressed mode, the SASS Carbine can help facilitate communication between team members.
The SuperSASS Carbine’s lighter weight and suppressed mode capability also make it an excellent choice in the brush as a hog hunter.
